1. About DBN

Daily Briefing News (“DBN”) provides news, analysis and informational content through digital platforms. This Privacy Policy explains how DBN processes information in connection with its digital services and applications operated by DBN, including DBN SocialAgent.

2. DBN SocialAgent and LinkedIn

DBN SocialAgent may connect to LinkedIn through LinkedIn’s official APIs after appropriate authorization. The currently intended integration is limited to analytics and performance measurement for DBN’s own LinkedIn Page.

DBN SocialAgent is not authorized to automatically publish, delete, comment on, react to, message, or otherwise modify LinkedIn content or accounts.

3. Information that may be processed

Depending on the permissions granted by LinkedIn and the capabilities made available through its official APIs, DBN may process:

4. Purposes of processing

Information obtained through LinkedIn may be used to measure DBN content performance, understand audience and content trends, produce internal analytics and reports, improve editorial planning, and maintain technical, security and audit records relating to DBN SocialAgent.

5. Data minimization and access control

DBN applies a minimum-privilege and data-minimization approach. DBN SocialAgent is designed to request only permissions and information necessary for its authorized purpose. Additional permissions or uses require separate authorization.

6. Authentication and security

OAuth credentials, access tokens, client secrets and other authentication secrets are treated as confidential security information. DBN does not intentionally place such secrets in public content, source-code repositories, analytics reports, audit evidence or application logs.

7. Data retention

DBN retains analytics and technical records only for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, analytical, security or legal purposes. Data may be aggregated, reviewed or deleted when detailed information is no longer required.

8. Sharing of information

DBN does not sell personal information obtained through LinkedIn. Information may be shared where necessary with service providers supporting DBN’s technical infrastructure, where legally required, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law and relevant platform terms.

9. LinkedIn

Information obtained through LinkedIn is also subject to LinkedIn’s applicable developer terms, API terms and platform policies. LinkedIn independently processes information under its own privacy policy.

10. Data protection rights

Where applicable under data-protection law, individuals may have rights regarding their personal data, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and other rights provided by law. Requests concerning information processed directly by DBN may be submitted through the contact address below.

11. Changes to this policy

DBN may update this Privacy Policy when its services, integrations, processing activities or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the version or effective date.
